Daryl Tanner
DH Tanner was born in Washington D.C. Her lifelong efforts have been in education and most recently in counseling and art. She holds 4 degrees in education, a M.S. in Counseling and a M.A. in Art. She comes from a family of artists and found her natural medium to be pastels. She has dedicated the past 10 years to honing and improving her creative skills. Her works are landscape distillations of her travels in which the viewpoint is usually through a camera lens. Paths, whether roads, rivers or rocks are a central design element as she offers ideas about the pathways we take as we move through the natural beauty of our earth.
Tanner captures the mood of a place in pastels, oils and/or acrylics. The serene paintings beckon the viewer to enter the canvas, to relax, explore and ponder the beauty and strength of our natural world. Respect emanates through her work, a deep appreciation and awe for the creative, restorative energy of our earth.
