From my childhood I always liked to draw. I took art lessons throughout the years experimenting with different mediums. I attended many workshops most often in watercolor. A few years ago I was introduced to fluid acrylic paint and was immediately fascinated by the clear and brilliant colors they created.
I began to incorporate these bright and beautiful colors into the cat and dog portraits I was painting. Animal lovers responded immediately to the colorful joy of the animals portrayed. Poochkins and Kitkins were launched.
As an active member of the Art Center of Corpus Christi I have served as President of the Executive Committee, Vice President, member of the Board of Governors, Exhibit Committee, and Group Representatives.
I am a member of the Art Association (program chair), the Bay Area Art League (president), Portrait Group (coordinator), and the Watercolor Society of South Texas (e-mail chair).
