Linda Swickheimer

Linda graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA and recently received a MA in Studio Art from Texas A @ M University-Corpus Christi.  She began her career in advertising and medical illustration. She also took advantage of job related opportunities to travel extensively before returning to Texas. Brief careers in politics and nursing soon gave way for the desire to return to fine art.

Her paintings have been included in exhibitions organized by Texas        A @ M  University Corpus Christi, Art Center of Corpus Christi, and South Texas Art League.  She has also shown in some solo exhibits in Victoria, Texas.

Her current work includes a whimsical milieu of subjects with a little irony, striving to set up a situation which is "probably the most improbable possiability possible", letting the animate and the inanimate connect creating a scenario.
