Rene Cantu

Rene has been drawing and painting since he was a child. Rene enjoyed creating images which depicted his surroundings. As Rene grew, he maintained an interest in drawing and painting, often painting images of family life and the surrounding coastal area. Rene is a Vietnam Era Veteran. He served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. He was stationed at 553rd Field Service Combat Unit, Fort Bliss, Texas in El Paso. Rene has just recently begun showing his work in public. The appreciation for his work has been immediate and the compliments many. His art work is being displayed at Inter-Artisan, 1036 S. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas.
